How can I determine if a piece is the right size?

How can I determine the right diamond stud size?

Visit our shop to explore the three different stud sizes we offer. On the product page, we include an image that showcases the varying sizes for easy comparison. For exact measurements, refer to the dimensions on the product page.

What's the length of your golden chain?

Our gold chain has three adjustable lengths: 15 in (38.1 cm), 17 in (43.2cm), and 18.7 in (47.6cm). This allows for styles ranging from choker to mid-stack to loose-fit, making it perfect for layering.

How do the modular pieces work?

The details of every modular design are provided on each product page:

  • FOR EARRINGS: Start by choosing a stud size (ranging from petite to large), then select the desired add-on. All our studs fit seamlessly with each add-on, allowing for diverse mix and match combinations.
  • FOR NECKLACES: Our chain is adjustable with 3 length options and pairs perfectly with every add-on.
Can I pair the add-ons with jewelry that is not from BOTERA?

For earrings, our add-ons are specifically designed to fit BOTERA studs. We cannot guarantee compatibility with other studs. Similarly, for necklaces, our add-ons are tailored for the BOTERA chain; compatibility with other chains is not guaranteed.

How do I determine my ring size?

Don't worry! Figuring out your ring size can be easy. 

USING AN EXISTING RING: 

  1. Select an existing ring that fits the desired finger.
  2. Measure the internal diameter of the ring (in mm).
  3. Use the below size chart to determine your ring size.

NO, MEASURE FINGER:

  1. Wrap a strip of paper around your finger where you'd like your ring to be.
  2. Make sure that the paper is pulled close-fitting to your finger, to find your best fit.
  3. Mark the spot where the paper meets and measure the distance with a ruler (mm).
  4. Use the below size chart to determine your ring size.

ADDITIONAL TIPS: While we can never be certain of your size without having physically measured your finger, we do have a few tips that may help you determine either your ring size or the ring size of a loved one:

  • Keep in mind that factors like temperature and hydration can influence ring size. If uncertain, consider selecting a slightly larger size. 
  • Measure your finger at the end of the day.
  • Do not measure your finger when it is very hot or very cold.
  • Remember that one hand may differ from the other in size.
  • Make sure that the chosen size leaves enough room for the ring to pass easily along the entire length of the finger.

ORDERS & SHIPPING

What does 'Made to Order' mean?

Only after you place an order do we begin crafting the piece specifically for you based on your size and design selection. Thus, please refer to the estimated shipping date provided at checkout.

Is custom engraving possible?

We offer the option of personalized engraving on select creations during checkout. However, please be aware that we currently offer only one font style, and engravings cannot be added post-purchase. Please refrain from making offensive engraving requests as they will be declined. Note: Items with custom engravings are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

May I add a personal message to my order if it is a gift?

Absolutely! If your order is a gift, you can include a personal message in the designated area at checkout.

Does BOTERA offer international shipping?

Yes, we provide international shipping at no additional charge.

What is the status of my order and how long will it take to ship?

 Here's a breakdown of our order statuses:

  1. PROCESSING: Our team is preparing your order. As each piece is crafted specifically for you, it typically takes 3-4 weeks to complete. 
  2. DISPATCHED: Your order has shipped! Please note that tracking details may take some time to update. We use FEDEX Express for our shipments, which typically delivers within 7 days. 

Shipping Notes:

  • The provided shipping duration is an estimate and excludes weekends and holidays. Delays might arise due to unforeseen factors like weather or traffic conditions.
  • For orders from outside the US, additional customs fees might apply. We have no influence over these charges, and they vary by country. Please contact your local customs office for detailed information.

How can I track my order's progress?

FOR USERS WITH AN ACCOUNT: Log into your account and visit "My Orders" for order status updates. Once your order ships, we'll send an email with tracking details. Please note that tracking info may take a few hours to update, especially for orders processed over the weekend.

FOR GUEST USERS: No stress! Simply create an account using the email you provided during checkout and your order will appear under "My Orders". We'll email tracking details once your order ships. Is my order insured during shipping?

Yes. All shipments are fully insured for your peace of mind.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order if you need to adjust, change the shipping address, or cancel. Our team works hard to get your order dispatched as quickly as possible so we may not always be able to accommodate modifications or cancellations. 

For engraved pieces, once the order is placed, we are not able to cancel or update the order.

I haven’t received my order confirmation email. What should I do?

Order confirmations are sent out promptly. If you haven't received yours, please check your spam or junk folder. If it's still missing, please contact us for assistance.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

What is BOTERA’S return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy. Refer to our guidelines below to determine the eligibility of your purchase for a return. Please remember:

  • The return period starts from the date of delivery or pick-up.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • A return shipping fee of $20 applies for US returns and $30 for international returns. This amount is deducted from your refund.

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be in their original, unworn condition without any damage.
  • All original packaging, including tags and boxes, must be returned.
  • Items sold as sets cannot be returned individually.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Products with engraving or monogramming.
  • Gift cards.
How soon will I receive my refund?

Once we've inspected and approved your returned item, the refund process can take up to 14 business days.

How do I initiate a return?

To start the process, email us your order number at contact us. We'll send you a return label and guide you on the shipping steps.

DUTIES, TAXES & PAYMENT

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a range of payment options with Shopify Payments. Choose your preferred method during checkout.

Will I be charged duties and taxes?

For orders within the US & Colombia, there are no additional duties or taxes. For other countries, however, duties and taxes might be applicable upon receipt.

How are duties and taxes calculated?

In the US, duties are included, and taxes get calculated at checkout. For Colombian customers, all applicable taxes and duties are included in the product price. Outside these regions, customers might be responsible for any additional duties and taxes. Unfortunately, BOTERA cannot predict these costs since they fluctuate by country. For precise information, it is best to consult your local customs office. Please note: We do not offer reimbursements for duties and taxes paid upon delivery.

What about foreign transaction charges?

BOTERA doesn't levy any hidden fees on top of your order. If your bank is in the same currency as the one listed on your site, there should be no foreign transaction fee.

How do I use a discount code?

During checkout, enter your discount code in the designated field. Do note:
Only one discount is applicable per order.  If multiple discount codes are entered, our system will select the one that offers the highest price reduction.
Discounts don't apply to gift cards.

WARRANTY & CERTIFICATE

What is BOTERA’S warranty policy?

We pride ourselves on the quality, every BOTERA item is backed by a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship.

  • Exclusions: Accidents, routine wear scratches, neglect, misuse, lost items, and third-party modifications.
  • Warranty requests? Please contact us directly. We will respond typically within 1-2 business days.

Key Points:

  • Third-party purchases aren't covered. Reach out to the original seller for issues.
  • Avoid using external jewelers to repair or work on your BOTERA jewelry as this might affect warranty claims. Please report defects to us directly.
Does BOTERA offer a diamond certificate?

Every BOTERA piece comes with an Authenticity Passport that certifies that it has passed all quality checks and is authentic. Each Authenticity Passport contains the details of your design and each one of its materials.

Where can I find my Authenticity Passport?

Each piece comes with its physical authenticity passport.

  • REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF A COMPONENT: Should an element of your piece become damaged or lost, we can replace it with a new one. The new component will be invoiced in addition to the price of the service which begins at $100.
  • STONE REPLACEMENT: Should a stone from your piece become damaged or lost, we can replace it with a new one. The new stone will be invoiced in addition to the price of the service, which begins at $100.
Personalization

ENGRAVING: Add a personal touch to your piece free of charge. Engraving options are dependent on the item and space available.

Adjustments

RE SIZING: Our specialists will take multiple steps to ensure the best result, while maintaining the highest quality standards. The size of your ring may be increased or reduced depending on technical feasibility and design style. Ring re sizing beyond two sizes may not be feasible. The first resizing (within two sizes) is complimentary. Further resizing services begin at $100.

Gifting

We offer several services to make gift-giving a breeze.

  • GIFT-WRAPPING: This service is complimentary with all purchases and comes with a personalized note.
  • GIFT CARDS: Digital gift cards are available and delivered instantly via email.
